Vertical diagrams show low E on the left. Use the Intervals option to switch diagram labels from note names to chord intervals; small numbers identify the fretting fingers. Orange marks identify the root; purple marks the bass note. In slash-chord names, the note after the slash is the bass note. Faint inlay dots mark standard fret positions, with paired dots at fret 12. Circles above the neck are open strings; crosses are muted strings.

Known shapes

The explorer shows only catalogued shapes. Movable patterns transpose with the selected root while preserving their fingering; open-position patterns stay in their original key. The current catalog is selective and does not yet include every possible fingering or variation.
